This is the final selection. After many design ideas and color proposals, we have come to an agreement.
A Rustic-Modern Design with a warm and sophisticated palette: Metropolitan gray on the walls, Silhouette brown-gray on the ceilings, Dove white on soffits, Spa for niche, Muted Black for a sexy bar.
Meeting challenges to cohesively use existing: dining furniture, floors, and square space from the previous deli. Within a limited budget, design a beautiful, modern, intimate restaurant.

I wanted a warm, inviting, Rustic-Modern design, evoking my NYC roots in the beautiful natural Hudson Valley. A dramatic, focal black & white mural surrounding the fireplace with a random wood design. A place to delight all the senses.

Late in the production with the contractor, I was informed the fireplace couldn't be surrounded by my wood design. Needed fire-retardant materials to the fireplace clearance leveled with the existing wall.
Not an easy turn to forgo a key element in one's design at the end.

My collection of personal photos and artwork. A random-size, non-symmetrical look letting each photograph breathe on its own.
I worked on this mural straight through one night, we were under a deadline.
Hours feel like minutes, and I am immersed in the joy of my creation.
